How benefits are paid MTA DB pension payments are monthly. Regardless of the option you elect, you will receive an MTA DB plan pension for your entire lifetime. If you are a married participant you must receive your monthly benefit as a 50% Joint and Survivor annuity unless a spousal consent form is filed with the MTA DB office.
